Air India will launch a new route between New Delhi and Ho Chi Minh City starting June 1, India’s national carrier announced on Wednesday.
The airline will operate direct flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays using Airbus A320neo aircraft in a two-class configuration.
The new route will further strengthen Air India’s destination network in Southeast Asia, providing new flight options for the growing number of travelers between India and Vietnam DMC, and opening up new connections allowing Vietnamese tourists to access Air India’s global flight network.
The new service will also provide convenient one-stop connectivity to Vietnam via Delhi for travelers from the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, the airline said.
Air India flies directly between India and 4 destinations in Southeast Asia: Singapore, Bangkok Phuket (Thailand), and Yangon (Myanmar).
Currently, Vietnamese airlines such as VietJet and Vietnam Airlines operate the New Delhi – Ho Chi Minh City route.
