Starting June 1, 2026, all passengers entering through Phu Quoc International Airport are required to complete an online pre-arrival information declaration before their flight departs. This new regulation, issued by Vietnam’s Immigration Department, applies to all international visitors arriving at Phu Quoc, including those entering under the Phu Quoc visa exemption policy.
If you or your travel group are planning a trip to the Pearl Island, read this guide carefully to avoid being denied boarding or facing delays at the immigration checkpoint.
Who needs to complete the declaration?
The requirement applies to all passengers entering through Phu Quoc International Airport, including:
- International tourists entering under the Phu Quoc visa exemption
- Visitors holding a valid Vietnamese visa
- Foreign passport holders residing in Vietnam
Step-by-step guide to completing your pre-arrival declaration
- When to do it: Any time within 3 days before your flight’s departure. The earlier, the better.
- Official system: https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn — or scan the QR code available at airport check-in counters.
Step 1: Open https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn on your phone or computer browser.
Step 2: Choose your preferred language, then click “Create & Submit Pre-arrival Information”.
Step 3: Fill in your personal details exactly as they appear on your passport, along with your visa information.
Important note under “Visa Type/ Purpose”: If you are entering under the Phu Quoc visa exemption, you must select “Phu Quoc visa exemption” from the dropdown. Selecting the wrong option may cause a system error or require you to restart the process.
Step 4: Enter your travel details: Provide your flight information (flight number, departure date and time) and your accommodation address in Vietnam.
Step 5: Review and Submit: Double-check all information for accuracy, then click “Submit” to complete your declaration.
Step 6: Save Your QR Confirmation Code: Once successfully submitted, the system will generate a QR confirmation code. You are required to screenshot or download this QR code and present it to immigration officers upon arrival at Phu Quoc.
