Amazing Vietnam – 7 Days

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – City Tour

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, we will be welcomed by our friendly local guide and transferred to our hotel.

(Note: Hotel’s check-in is 14.00/15.00, Early check-in is NOT included).

After that, we will visit some highlights in the city. Our first stop is Ho Chi Minh Complex where we will visit Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside visit only if later than 10.30 AM), his simple stilt-house and fish pond, the outside of the impressive Presidential Palace, and finally the nearby One Pillar Pagoda that originally built since 11th century.

Continue visiting the oldest pagoda in Hanoi – Tran Quoc Pagoda which is located by the West Lake. Lunch at an Indian restaurant. After lunch, we visit the Temple of Literature, the Temple of Confusion, also the first university in Vietnam that was built in 1070. We finish our day with a cyclo ride around the Old Quarters through the maze of narrow streets and shops. Drop off at the hotel and end the tour.

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on boat (B, L, D)

In the morning, depart for Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its limestone islands rising from emerald waters. Board your overnight cruise and enjoy a freshly prepared seafood lunch while sailing through the breathtaking scenery.

In the afternoon, take part in a kayaking adventure, relax on Soi Sim Beach, or hike to a viewpoint for a panoramic view of the bay. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner onboard, relax under the starry night sky, or try your hand at squid fishing.

Overnight on the cruise.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Danang (B)

Start your day with Tai Chi exercises before having breakfast. We then explore Sung Sot Cave – one of the most amazing caves in Halong Bay and pass through Ba Hang Fishing Village, Dog Islet, and more. Watch the cooking demonstration and enjoy lunch before cruising back to the pier and finding our car to take us to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi to board the late afternoon flight to Danang.

On arrival, we will be welcomed and transferred to an Indian restaurant for dinner. Overnight at a hotel in Danang.

Day 4: Danang – Bana Hill – Golden Bridge – Danang (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Sun World Ba Na Hills and have a full day of entertainment in Ba Na Hills. We first take the cable car up to the mountains and enjoy the specular Truong Son Mountains and most especially, the Golden Bridge – the new symbol of Danang thanks to its unique design and magical settings.

Free time to wander through the Le Jardin Garden with hundred kinds of flowers or admire the architecture buildings in French village. Buffet lunch will be in Ba Na Hill. In the afternoon, we take the cable car down and transfer back to Danang. The rest of the day will be free at the beach.

Late afternoon, transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through its lantern-lit streets, visit the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, and explore old merchant houses. Take time to shop for tailor-made clothes, leather goods, and unique handicrafts, or simply enjoy the charming riverside ambiance.

Evening is free to discover Hoi An’s magical atmosphere at night before returning to Danang for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Danang – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City - Half Day City Tour (B)

• Take flight to Ho Chi Minh today.
• Pick up on arrival then transfer to hotel.
• After a short rest, we visit the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam.
• We also stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post office to get good shots for our memory of the big, modern city of Vietnam.
• In the rest of the day, we will visit: Ben Thanh market then we will be back to hotel.

Day 6: Mekong Delta (B)

• We start our day at the lobby of hotel and head to the peaceful town of My Tho where we visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda.
• Next, we will have a boat ride, visit local homes and orchards, a coconut candy workshop, a honeybee farm, take a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, try a taste of seasonal fruit, honey tea, and enjoy a performance of traditional Southern singing.

Later of the day, we return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7: Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)

Morning:

• Depart for Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War. Explore hidden tunnels, crawl through safe sections, and see secret trapdoors and living quarters.
• Watch a short documentary about the site’s history and daily life of soldiers. Try cassava, a staple food during wartime, and enjoy tea.
• For those interested, there’s an option to experience the shooting range (extra cost: US$3/bullet) or browse local handicrafts.

Afternoon: We then transfer to the airport for the departure flight. Tour by Vietnam DMC ends.
